You can make complaints to us about the professional performance, professional behaviour, or health of a registered health practitioner.
This list outlines some of the most common types of complaint we receive.
Concerns about the professional performance of a practitioner, such as:
- dispensing errors
- compounding issues
- communication issues
- inadequate documentation
- infection control breaches
Concerns about the way a practitioner behaves, such as:
- a criminal conviction or a criminal finding for an offence
- breaching patient confidentiality
- inappropriate behaviour
- non compliance with restrictions on their practice
- providing unnecessary health services
We also deal with concerns that a practitioner has a health issue or impairment that might cause harm to a member of the public if it is not appropriately managed, such as psychiatric or psychological issues or a problem with alcohol or drugs.
